The power of a vision.

The power of a vision.

I always thought that everyone is making way too much of the fact that you need to have a vision.
It was only when I started my own research on the topic that I realized the power of  having a vision.

The power of a vision | My Business Why

Having a well-defined personal vision is a way beyond belief powerful aspect of life that is totally missed if not understood properly. When I realized this, I was kind of upset with myself because I have missed the point for so long.

…This is very powerful.

A strong vision will allow us to escape form the limitations that our material existence seems to have on us. It will allow us to extend far beyond what we previously thought to be possible.

Your vision is about you.

All will understand that each person’s vision will be unique. Your vision can’t be mine and mine can’t be yours. Your vision will need to be authentic to yourself. Only you can stir it up from inside yourself. Nobody can really give someone else a blueprint of a vision. It is something that each must create themselves.

It is not a matter though of sitting down and decide on a vision. A vision must be discovered. You will have to ponder on a few things to get direction on your journey of discovering your vision.
Such a journey of discoveries can be rather interesting and rewarding.

Way-points on the journey

Please bear with me through this.

As explained, the process of discovery is a journey and not like an instant 10 step plan to success. It will take time to get to the real thing, but thrust me, the real thing is very real.

I’m about to share with you a few very basic keys that will assist you to take a huge leap in your personal success journey

–  Take Stock

The birth process of a vision starts in the mind .
Start off by unleashing your mind and take stock of where you are at present.
(I’m always making notes when I start out in creating something in my mind.)
Make a two-column list of what you like about your present situation on the left side and what you would like to change on the other.

The items on left side are accomplishments that you have already reached.
Now go ahead and feel proud about those.

…. That’s correct. Feel proud of where you are and what you have accomplished so far. My reason for encouraging you to feel good about yourself is, because when you feel good about yourself, it will bring you in a positive frame of mind. Once your mind is positive, you will be aligned for positive thoughts to come forth from it and I suppose you want to give birth to a positive personal vision.

– Ideas and dreams

We’re now experiencing positive emotions and we have a list of ideas. Things that we would like to change for the better in life. If you have a wide range of things that you want to change, the best would be to reduce the list by summarizing it into categories.

Now it is time to dream and play with your thoughts. Take each summarized group or category and ponder on it for at least a day or two. Let your dreams go wild.
…Its only dreams you can do with it what you want.
Give it reigns.
Go to the impossible and imagine the unimaginable.

If you’re with me this far, you will:
1- Feel good about yourself
2- Be in a positive state of mind
3- Be dreaming bigger than your rational thoughts.

–  Ask Why?

After we have dreamed our wild dreams, it is time to bring things back to reality for a while.
We will now need to filter through our ideas and dreams and create what is real. The question that you need to ask on each item or category is “Why?”
You want change in that area. … Why?
I have published an article on the answers on “Why” questions and how it will give you purpose. A personal vision needs to be embedded in a very strong purpose. A vision that is without purpose is merely a dream and dreams may change as quick as the weather. They can be nice and they can take you places in your mind, but don’t expect too much from merely dreaming.

I strongly recommend that you read the article named “Define your “My Business Why” in the link.
Please don’t move further on before this principle is properly understood.

The answer to your defined Why will be key in converting dreams into desires and it will create purpose. Once dreams are aligned with purpose and cast in a vision, the world changes.

You will realize that the answer to your why is not a list of things. Your why will basically revolve around that one or two things in your mind that gives you reason to do what you need to do. If you are true in answering your “Why” questions, the answers to that will start to resonate in your spirit.

– Birth to a vision

Now that we have identified purpose and we know our “Why”, it is time to give substance to our personal vision.

Because we have a thorough understanding of our desire and purpose, we can sit down and define our vision.
Write it down. Be specific, but don’t over complicate it with detail.

This is your vision-  and not a mission statement. Keep it condensed and powerful.

-Burn it into your spirit.

As soon as we started to get to the answers on our “Why” questions, we were basically moving the vision from our thoughts, emotions & own will to a deeper level.
It is like burning it into your spirit. (Inner being).

Our vision now becomes a reality from within.
It is what is giving us purpose.
It is what’s pushing us forward.
It is burnt into our beliefs.
We will be able to constantly draw motivation from our inner purpose.
Our vision will now enable us to see beyond the present into what is awaiting on us.

All we need to do now is to agree with ourselves on it and  to go fetch it.

Well, we JUMPED out of ours and we travel the world house sitting.

Thanks for reminding me to continue living my “vision” of what life can be like and making it my new life

Thanks for the great article! You’re right! I always find myself tied by my vision, I always try to get other’s opinion about certain things so I can realize how much my vision is different than their’s, I’m working on breaking those limits, and I keep encouraging myself to do what I decide to do, regardless the difficulties, because difficulties are not real, they are the challenges we should face in order to reach our goals.
